Hello everyone!!
It's been a very busy week at the Bane home...Nana, Papa and Uncle Nick are flying in tomorrow, so we've been cleaning the house all week/weekend and getting things ready for them. Then Friday evening my Uncle is flying in from San Fransisco. Dominique and her husband (Nate) and two boys are driving up that same day, so our house will be busy busy busy!! We are very excited and can't wait until everyone gets here!
Other than cleaning and organizing the house for the Holidays and our upcoming move, things have been pretty quiet. Im trying to relax a little bit and get as much sleep as possible before the new baby arrives, which will be pretty soon. However, it can be pretty hard to relax and rest when you have a 2 1/2 year old to chase. We are registered at Babies R Us and Target for the new baby, a couple people have asked what we need and really we just need girl clothes and a couple pink blankets, but we have registered to make it a little bit easier.
We will be moving down to Mississippi January 6th/7th and we should be in our house by the 9th. Our new address is 420 Courthouse Dr. , Gulfport, MS 39507. Our home number as of right now is the same (301) 416-0320, but of course will be changing when we move. We will have our cell phones: we really only use our cell phones for emergencies, but until we get a house phone down south, it will be the only way we can keep in touch. My cell number is (313) 304-9420 and Nathan's number is (717) 816-7239
We will keep you updated on everything going on. Stay warm, and enjoy your week!
Love you all

Oh Rachael Ray
So I watch the Rachael Ray show almost every morning (its about the only thing i have a chance to watch) and Landen sings along with the theme song every time its on. If im cooking a recipe out of her cookbook, he says "MOM! Its Rachael Ray cookin!" Oh the things kids pick up on!

Let it snow!
For the past few weeks, we have had several flurries, but not enough snow to stick. Until this morning that is! I woke up around 6 AM to find my car had a dusting of snow...so I went to Landen's room, scooped him up and brought him to my room. When I told him it had snowed over night he was sooo excited! So, we trotted down the stairs, made some hot cocoa and ate some breakfast. He is so happy to see the snow again...and can't wait to get his snow clothes on to play!

Bozo the Clown
The other day I had a Dr.'s appointment and had to have a diabetes test done. I had to drink this awful sugary drink (i had to do the same thing when I was prgnant with Landen) and then wait an hour before having my blood drawn. Unfortunately, I wasnt allowed to leave the waiting room, but the positive side of the whole situation, was just how prepared the office was for when young kids have to wait with there parents for a long period of time. Hence the blow up bozo the clown doll. Landen was having too much fun (and the ladies working found him pretty entertaining)
Sorry Mom....
Landen is at the stage where he likes to hide things when he finds them. For example: somewhere and somehow he managed to get a hold of a marker...a beautiful red marker. He hid that marker somewhere in his room. Everyday at 1:30, he has quiet time in his room. He doesn't have to sleep but he usually does. Lord only knows how long he hid that marker in his room, but one day during quiet time, he must have remembered what he had done with it. Here is the outcome of that quiet time....at least he said "Sorry Mom..."

October recap: Halloween
We all sat down as a family (like we do every Halloween) to carve the pumpkin together. I was extra excited this year, because I had a camera that recorded sound, so that when I videotaped the event you could hear what was going on. Landen however, had other plans. For some reason he wanted nothing to do with cleaning out the pumpkin! After the carving, we got Landen dressed and ready to go trick-or-treating...he was so excited! We had been practicing all day on what to say, and he was ready! By 8:00 PM his bag was full, his feet were tired, and his night was successful!

October recap: Nathan's 21st Birthday
HE'S LEGAL! On October 23rd, Nathan was officially allowed to drink and gamble!! We tried to have him take 21 shots, but being his wife, I knew he wouldnt get too far! (He's not a big liquor drinker...the boy loves his beer) He and Garrett planned on bar hopping from Blondie's to the Rolling Mill, both just minutes from the house. So, before heading out the door, just around 8:30 PM, Nathan had 3 shots, and 2 beers...and a pad of paper and pen hin his pocket; he was determined to complete is task that night! Kim and I stayed home with the kids, and wathed movies while we waited for the boys to call for a ride. And at 10:30 PM, that call came in. He was TOAST! While they waited for Kim to pick them up, Garrett fed Nathan a cheeseburger (they have the best food!), but by the time he got back home, the burger was of no help. Yes, my friends you guessed it...needless to say, he may not have gotten all 21 shots in, but he will NEVER forget that night! Thanks Garrett!

September Recap: The frog!
After a long week of nothing but rain, all the frogs decided to come out and play. Garrett captured one and brought it inside the house for the boys (Landen and there son Owen), to see. Owen had a great time and wasn't too afraid of the new creature! Landen on the other hand, didnt want ANYTHING to do with it! Maybe next time....

September recap: The Cat Whisperer
Our friends Kim and Garrett Dickson just moved into a beautiful home just minutes from our townhouse in PA, and in the first few weeks of them living there, we discovered the house behind theirs had a TON of kittens that roam free outside. They absolutely loved Landen, and he certainly enjoyed playing with them too! The pictures are kinda blurry, but you get the general idea!

Summer 2008 Recap
Its scary to think that summer is over, and winter is creeping up on us. Nathan and I tried to spend as many days out of the house with Landen as possible, knowing all too well just how many days we could be couped up inside during the winter months.Several days of summer were spent at Fuller Lake; a quick 15-20 minute drive from our home in beautiful Pennsylvania. Although Landen wouldnt go past his calves in the water, he sure enjoyed the sand! We built many sand castles and buried Nathan...ALOT! Other days were spent at the park just minutes from our front door, or just hanging out together. It was a blast, and we are sad that it is over.
