Let it snow!

For the past few weeks, we have had several flurries, but not enough snow to stick. Until this morning that is! I woke up around 6 AM to find my car had a dusting of snow...so I went to Landen's room, scooped him up and brought him to my room. When I told him it had snowed over night he was sooo excited! So, we trotted down the stairs, made some hot cocoa and ate some breakfast. He is so happy to see the snow again...and can't wait to get his snow clothes on to play!

Bozo the Clown

The other day I had a Dr.'s appointment and had to have a diabetes test done. I had to drink this awful sugary drink (i had to do the same thing when I was prgnant with Landen) and then wait an hour before having my blood drawn. Unfortunately, I wasnt allowed to leave the waiting room, but the positive side of the whole situation, was just how prepared the office was for when young kids have to wait with there parents for a long period of time. Hence the blow up bozo the clown doll. Landen was having too much fun (and the ladies working found him pretty entertaining)

Sorry Mom....

Landen is at the stage where he likes to hide things when he finds them. For example: somewhere and somehow he managed to get a hold of a marker...a beautiful red marker. He hid that marker somewhere in his room. Everyday at 1:30, he has quiet time in his room. He doesn't have to sleep but he usually does. Lord only knows how long he hid that marker in his room, but one day during quiet time, he must have remembered what he had done with it. Here is the outcome of that quiet time....at least he said "Sorry Mom..."

Cold feet

As the weather changes, our wardrobe is quick to follow...long johns, sweatpants, puffy jackets and warm shoes. But for some reason, Landen has grown quite fond of Mommy's boots: he wears them all the time, day or night. He looks too cute!

October recap: Halloween

We all sat down as a family (like we do every Halloween) to carve the pumpkin together. I was extra excited this year, because I had a camera that recorded sound, so that when I videotaped the event you could hear what was going on. Landen however, had other plans. For some reason he wanted nothing to do with cleaning out the pumpkin! After the carving, we got Landen dressed and ready to go trick-or-treating...he was so excited! We had been practicing all day on what to say, and he was ready! By 8:00 PM his bag was full, his feet were tired, and his night was successful!

October recap: Nathan's 21st Birthday

HE'S LEGAL! On October 23rd, Nathan was officially allowed to drink and gamble!! We tried to have him take 21 shots, but being his wife, I knew he wouldnt get too far! (He's not a big liquor drinker...the boy loves his beer) He and Garrett planned on bar hopping from Blondie's to the Rolling Mill, both just minutes from the house. So, before heading out the door, just around 8:30 PM, Nathan had 3 shots, and 2 beers...and a pad of paper and pen hin his pocket; he was determined to complete is task that night! Kim and I stayed home with the kids, and wathed movies while we waited for the boys to call for a ride. And at 10:30 PM, that call came in. He was TOAST! While they waited for Kim to pick them up, Garrett fed Nathan a cheeseburger (they have the best food!), but by the time he got back home, the burger was of no help. Yes, my friends you guessed it...needless to say, he may not have gotten all 21 shots in, but he will NEVER forget that night! Thanks Garrett!

September Recap: The frog!

After a long week of nothing but rain, all the frogs decided to come out and play. Garrett captured one and brought it inside the house for the boys (Landen and there son Owen), to see. Owen had a great time and wasn't too afraid of the new creature! Landen on the other hand, didnt want ANYTHING to do with it! Maybe next time....
