SLACKER!

I have to give myself an 'epic fail' these past months. It's been a very hectic few months not going to lie! Medical issues, travel issues, communication issues and LIFE!? I hope you can understand. Here is a brief uPdate: the kids took swimming lessons for a few weeks, and did AMAZING! They are like fishes, wanting to swim constantly lol shortly after that we had a few weeks where there was no commitments but, I Did my best to keep the kids busy! We have spent several days at the beach, the river and in the back yard playing with water, in order to keep them busy and to give me a piece of sanity!
We are in the home stretch of completing our second deployment (thank goodness!) so a lot of our days consist of making welcome home signs and keeping the house in order; a constant battle with two little ones!
Today is Landens last day of vacation bible school. It was a week long and he really enjoyed it! I enjoyed the quiet mornings lol my neighbor/babysitter was teaching some of the classes and offered to bring him there, and home every day. She's been such a great help! We start shopping for school supplies for Landen shortly. He starts kindergarten august 4th and I'm in shock that my baby is of school age already! Where does the time go?
Well, it's lunch time and landen should be home any minute. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer! We love and miss you all!

Happy New Year! It is officially 2011 and we certainly haven't slowed down. It was a hectic week, so here we go!
Last Thursday, Ella got sick (ahem...threw up. Alot) all throughout the house, and even in my suburban. She didnt have a fever and was playing fine so I didnt know what was wrong. By the time the day was coming to a close, she was able to eat and keep food down and ended up going to bed a little early. As I was about to fall asleep that night, my stomach started turning...lets just say Mommy was up from 11pm until 5am hugging the porcelain throne :/ And of course only a few hours of sleep after my nightly adventure, the kids were up and ready to go for the day. I however, was tired and sore and wanted to sleep. But noooo! lol I had too many errands to run and too many appetizers to make for the NYE event at my home. So, like every other mother out there, you suck it up and get through it.
The rest of the day (though tired and cranky as I was) pretty much went without a single bump in the road. Of course that is, until it was time for people to start showing up. Landen had told me around 4pm that he wasnt feeling good. So, I gave him some toast, water and some (red) anti-naseau meds and told him to relax. 5:30 comes around and im a cooking fool in the kitchen...when all of a sudden that dreadful sound of a splash on my living room carpet rang through. You guessed it! Landen caught the bug :( And I now have a huge stinky red pile on my white carpet. AHHHH! Thankfully my friend Amanda was there to help, I got the steam cleaner running to take care of the ickiness, and was juggling a 20 month old curious girl as to what her brother was doing with his face in the 'potty'. I was trying to sooth him AND cook...and people started showing up! Landen was finally able to fall asleep with a bowl and everything else fell into place. He later woke up feeling much better and joined in the celebrations.
I had my closest girlfriends over for the big event and we had a blast! It wasnt the same without Nathan but it was fun and we made the best out of it!
Monday...sheesh. The garage door broke. It was another 'Why me!!' moment in my head but luckily I was able to find an affordable company to come fix it and today was that day! I am now able to use it, and i didnt have to buy a whole new garage door! Whew! The week is almost over and that means only one thing to me...im one week closer to seeing Nathan! I hope you all enjoy the pictures and I hope you are having a fantastic (and less hectic than mine) 2011 so far.
I love you all and miss you tons!
