Ahhhh...sighs of relief!

Christmas is over and the new year is coming up fast! The kids had a wonderful Christmas, but it certainly wasn't complete with Nathan being gone. Luckily, we were able to video chat with him and show him all the cool things they had gotten for Christmas. We were all very happy to be able to do that much!!
This week has been a hectic and slow one, but its moving along just the same. Taking care of a friend's fish while she's visiting her family back in her hometown, so the kid have enjoyed visiting the 'fishy friends' everyday! Ive been doing a lot of sewing, and have thankfully completed a few of my projects. Landen now has custom curtains in his room, and I have finished making baby blankets for friends and family members. Next...APRONS!
Hate to keep this entry short, but I have to get the kids some lunch, but here are a few of the pictures we've taken...most are from Christmas and I hope you all enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
Happy Holidays!

6 Days and counting....

Christmas is officially 6 days away and the house is full of craziness! Presents are being wrapped, cookies are being made, music is playing constantly in the background and thats just the holiday stuff! Ive picked up a few 'projects' to keep me busy, but Ive been breezing through them so fast. Ive cleaned out the kids closets and started a collection of goods to sell at a garage sale in the spring. The pile is growing quickly and the inside of the house is benefiting from the organizing! Im in the process of sewing some curtains for Landen's room, as well as aprons for the kids! Earlier in the week, we made homemade playdough. Landen chose blue and vanilla scent, and Ella had pink with peppermint! They have really been making good use of the 'dough' every afternoon. So glad I made that! lol Never a dull moment here that is for sure.
Having been soo stressed out, and in need of adult conversations, my good friend Amanda invited me to go to New Orleans for a girls night out. After many arguements with myself about whether or not I should go, I gave in and decided what the hey, I deserve a little break! I ended up having a wonderful time, and made so many new memories with my girlfriends. The black and white pictures at the bottom of this post are pictures from that night.
I have talked to Nathan a few times since he's left. He is doing great and is spending a lot of time at the gym with his buddies. He sends his love to everyone and says he misses you all very much!
Hate to cut this one short, but the kids need to be tucked in :) Hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend. Have a great week, we love you and miss you all!
