Although its been busy, its been a beautiful month here in the gulf. Only these past few weeks has it been really cold, where as the weeks before had been warm enough to wear shorts and a shirt! Well, we cant have it all lol
For Thanksgiving this year we made all kinds of goodies, and hosted Thanksgiving for some of our friends who didnt have a place to go. Lots of fun, memories and leftovers, but it was a blast. Black Friday I decided last minute to hit up Walmart for some small (but great) deals...that was interesting to say the least! The good thing about going alone though was the fact that I know that Walmart like the back of my hand and was able to whiz through the aisles fast enough to get to my destination and snag the deals before they were sold out! I succeeded.
Near the end of November Landen had an eye appointment where the Dr. discovered just how bad his eyes were! His left eye is: 20/201 and his right eye is: 20/50. He goes back January 10th to see if the glasses have helped at all with the eyesight/lazy eye. If they cannot fix his 'lazy' eye with the glasses, they will then proceed to using a patch. And if necessary some surgery. Keep your fingers crossed that the glasses work! Besides, he looks soooo handsome in them! We also went and had another set of family pictures done...ill be posting them later this weekend for you to see, along with the website if you would like to buy any of them. Being a tight year, we were not able to buy everyone copies of them, but would love to give you the opportunity to get some for yourselves if youd like.
On a more sad note, Nathan has officially been deployed to Spain. We said our last goodbyes and gave our hugs and kisses and off he went! Its been kind of rough on Landen mostly, being older now he is certainly more aware of things. This evening we printed out a picture of him and Daddy when he was younger, put it in a frame and placed it next to his bed. He has had a few tears today, but he's a trooper. (And much stronger than myself I must say! Mommy had a few breakdowns today, but we wont go there! lol)
Trying to stay busy to pass these long 8 months by. We will see what the next few weeks will hold!
Enjoy the pictures and if anyone is interested in sending a care package to Nathan, please feel free to email me. Ill send you the address privately: Due to OPSEC (Operation Security) I am not allowed to post any specific dates, locations, or addresses. Thank you for understanding!
We love you and miss you all so much and hope the holidays are treating you well!
With Love
The Bane Family
